Hi there, I was googling around looking for 'seed churches' for a project some friends and I are starting:

http://www.churchweblogs.com

I saw your indy church weblogs page is down. Can I help you with that? ;)

Let me know and I'll add your church to the project. Thanks!

In Christ

Where can I learn more who you are and about your church? Perhaps a couple of postings will do it for me, but there are a lot out there.

I'm asking primarily from the standpoint of having identified myself as a pastor. You can answer anyway you like but I probably will not come and mow your lawn, at least not this summer.

Are you asking in a spiritual sense or in a more general sense? Or both/either?

1) Be assertive. You have a perspective and wisdom and knowledge that we need. Make sure we hear you.
2) Be confident. You don't need to be impressive - you don't even need to be right (all the time). You have a LOT to give.
3) Teach/Write/Remark. One of the cool things that our "odd" way of doing church allows for is DIALOG. Keep it active. I LOVE our lunch-conversations, emails, blogging, etc. Even though I don't comment often on your blog - I'm usually following your posts and often contemplating the ideas presented there.
4) CONNECT us to the larger body of Christ. It's difficult to determine when you are facilitating/connecting me to our brothers and sisters in Ohio and Kentucky and beyond and when I am seeking a surrogate to avoid having to pay the "dues" of relationship personally. Keep pushing/prodding/and connecting us.
5) Read/Teach/Counsel. IMPORTANT STUFF.

What a GREAT question. I'll ponder for a bit - but I think we should ALL be asking this one.

It would mean a lot if we could sit down together and develop a reading plan for the next 12 months and then help me be accountable to sticking with it. A few more laps around the neighborhood would help too.
